  • Illnesses contracted by needle sticks
  • Occupational disease instances

Our Firm Handles Any Workplace Injury Claims

If you or a loved one have been injured on the job, you may be entitled to workers’ compensation benefits. Our firm of experienced attorneys zealously represent doctors, physician assistants, nurses, home attendants, medical scribes/assistants and other health care professionals who have suffered injuries on the job. Without proper representation of legal counsel, insurance companies may try to deny your injury claim or shift the blame on the injured worker to avoid paying your designated weekly compensation benefits or settlement amount. Our attorneys are experienced and knowledgeable on the workers’ compensation law and tactics that insurance companies often use on workers’ compensation claims. It is important to understand that Workers’ Compensation Law does not take fault into account. This means that even if you were 100% at fault for your accident, you are entitled to workers’ compensation benefits as long as the injury occurred at work.

Do I Have to Stay Out of Work if I Have a Workers’ Compensation Claim?

An injured worker does NOT have to stay out of work if they had a work-related injury. An injured worker is entitled to 66% of their average weekly wage if they are out of work and if they have doctors reports stating that they are one hundred percent disabled to go back to work. If an injured worker returns back to work after a work-related injury, the weekly payments from the employers workers’ compensation insurance are stopped and we would pursue a potential tax-free lump sum settlement after six months if the claimant is ready to close out the claim. All of the medical treatment must be covered by your employers workers’ compensation insurance and your personal insurance should never be touched for your work injury claim.
